The SELECT statements corresponding to the GET statements are implemented in the logDB code (e.g. program SAPDBBRF for logDB BRF). Unfortunately the logDB architecture doesn't really allow for much of an acceleration due to the hierarchical access to the tables and the non-aggregated selection of information (since the logDB doesn't know how the data will be consumed).
