To confirm the discussion, we also were getting processDPcommandsEx errors on reports that had prompts and were refreshed multiple times with differing values. We were on 4.1 SP1 Patch 1.3. Our testing on Patch 1.8 shows it clears up this and a few other issues and help performance in some areas including drilling on reports with merged dimensions. We also talked with another large customer who confirmed that SP2 Patch 2.2 was better as you mention in your post. Unfortunately, it appears none of those fixes the Conditional format errors we get in migrated XI 3.1 reports. I think that will be fixed in SP3 Patch 3.x
