Re: APO & R/3

Hi Selva,

Q1: Since the complete forecasting & planning (MRP)  will be carried out in APO, is it necessary to do MRP related settings in R/3 for my plant? (Eg: OPPQ / OPPR (Setup Plant Parameters for MRP)).

Are you planning your all materials in APO?

Most of the companies used to plan only critical/bottleneck materials like FG, SFG and ROH in APO but not all.  Raw material planning like reorder level planning is better to do it in ECC than APO. Because it doesn't make sense to plan them in APO. Apart from that OPPQ plant parameter are required to set to access the MD04. It's a business requirement that we need to have OPPQ and OPPR setting in system and what setting should be there.

Q2: What are all the MRP relevant settings (SPRO settings & Master Data settings) to be done in R/3 to carry out planning in APO?

Basic setting required are Plant Parameters, Number Ranges, Activated Plant for MRP if you want to run MRP for some material in ECC, MRP controller, Production scheduling profile, Schedule margin key, Special procurement key, planning strategy these are the basic setup required in ECC side.

Regards,

R.Brahmankar
