The scenario - CNC machine company produces the Standard Machine and Variant.
For Producing the standard m/c ( Material XXXX), we use planning strategy 40 and PIR is created and keep the stock.
When the customer choose the required Add on material on top of Standard M/c, So the Variant Material YYYY has been created with add on components and Material XXXX as components.
User Planning strategy 25 ( Variant ) for the Variant Material. When the Sale order is created for Variant Material, after MRP, the Planned order is created for Standard material (XXXX). But the stock is available.
We need the available stock should be consumed for Standard M/c Material which is also sellable product.
Could you suggest to correct the planning strategy to consume the available stock.
