I also don't know how to disable the tooltip on the chart (tried the solutions provided in the link - without success), but maybe it's an option to disable the hover event document-wide:
window.props.enableHover = false;
Yes, that's a dirty workaround and won't fit in many situations, but maybe It helps you out
